The ocean is an integral part of my being. My journey with the water, however, didn't start the way most might expect. I didn’t learn to swim until I was 20 years old. After hiring a coach to teach me the fundamentals of long-distance swimming, a whole new world opened up to me. Over the last 25 years, that initial spark has evolved into a life defined by the sea—from surfing and spearfishing to the profound stillness of freediving.
Some of my most transformative moments have happened beneath the surface. I have freedived in the waters of Hawaii, surrounded by the majesty of sharks, feeling the deep vibration of migrating whales as they sang their songs through the current. These experiences taught me a profound respect for the water—not just as a playground, but as a powerful element that requires skill and mindfulness.
This deep connection to the water naturally led me to a vital mission: keeping our children safe. After seeing the life-saving impact of specialized infant swimming instruction, I knew immediately that I wanted to be part of this work. I wanted children to be able to play and enjoy a life within bodies of water while remaining completely safe.
Now, with three years of experience as an ISR coach, I specialize in teaching children aged 8 months to 6 years the essential skills they need to survive and thrive. I know firsthand that swimming is a learned skill that builds a bridge to a lifetime of joy. My goal is to ensure that your children are safe, confident, and prepared, so that your family can enjoy the beauty of the water with peace of mind.
